January is busy --- thats to be expected ---- yet some non-Superhero Accountants struggle with the pressure ?! --- "the info should have been with me by end of November, we can't offer any assurance it will be submitted in time" yadda yadda yadda ... Sounds familiar ??
I have more than enough work-tasks to keep me occupied, but would assist existing business-friends of course.

Tutors & Coaches have until Jan 6th to register with HMRC under Tax Catch Up Plan
The Tax Office had launched a `Tax Catch Up Plan' for Tutors & Coaches to disclose past years' undisclosed & untaxed Income & Gains. Tutors & Coaches may work in education, sport & leisure or music.
The deadline to register with the Tax Office, notifying your intention to disclose past receipts is 6th January this week.

The incentive to make a disclosure is the offered reduction in penalties by the Tax Office.
In essence, this is a voluntary disclosure opportunity, followed by Tax Office proposed enquiries towards those who have chosen not to disclose past untaxed earnings. The HMRC compliance strategy teams have collected information from the internet on those offering tutoring & coaching & music lessons etc. Also, my tutor-friends tell me that the Tax Office has written to schools/colleges requesting details of tutors, coaches, music-instructors/performers.
I am assisting clients with this disclosure process ---- to meet the 6th January notification-deadline. If business-friends wish to contact me, I would help of course.

I'm heading into office-desk HQ today to clear messages ahead of hectic January work-pressures ---- I received a text last night "this matter is urgent, but you wont be there...!" -- ha, how very dare they confuse us with non-Superhero Accountants.
Assigning the email-deluge of viagra services into junk-file --- I must remind helpful girlfriends to stop sending those links ...
I guess its NY Resolutions time -- I shall make efforts to swerve the junk-foods + hopefully get earlier to bed sometimes.
Realising its a very difficult position in the economy at present --- I would be pleased to chat to business-friends & offer any assistance that may be of help.
