Burlesque-cabaret vibe -- I reckon best to swerve the Cher & Christina Aguilera `Burlesque' film and go see this one instead.

Last night, I attended a burlesque-cabaret event in central Brighton (promoted by `Stella Starr') to support a friend who was performing.
Event was hosted by cad & bounder `Atters' Attree from The Chap magazine :

My favourite retro-style club-night has been The Kroon Kat Lounge --- a retro lounge-music & cabaret night thats been based at Brighton Komedia venue for several years + also opened at the Komedia venue in Bath approx 2 years ago.

though my heart stays with the KroonKat guys (for its original connections to Komedia venue + for finding the best local cabaret-performers + fabulous music etc).
